A father plans to use his lottery winnings to buy his kids a new house.

A father of two from Maple, Ontario, who won $100. 000 in an Encore Lotto Max drawing, plans to help his children buy a new house.

Vladimir Koustov has been playing the lottery for 10 years, and it finally paid off: he won the jackpot. In the Lotto Max drawing on July 12, 2024, the lucky father correctly selected the last six of the seven Encore numbers.

Winner Stiffened While Checking His Ticket

In a press release, Koustov recalls walking into a store to validate his ticket when the store owner started jumping up and down.

When I asked, "What's the matter?" the shopkeeper replied, "I won the jackpot, my friend!" I immediately froze and was at a loss for words.

It's no wonder that Koustov "screamed with joy" when he heard about his big win. The winning lottery ticket was purchased at Kitchen Food Fair on Dufferin Street in Thornhill.

This is not the first time that a Canadian has won a lottery.

Koustov said he felt very happy and that his wife was especially overjoyed when she revealed that he was also going to help his children buy their first home.

Koustov is not the only Canadian lottery winner who wanted to share his winnings with his family. Another winner, Maria Anna Tarantino, selflessly used her $1 million winnings to help her grandchildren travel the world.
