The California University Youth Development Program is working to make youth maximize its potential by promoting the field of youth development. UC Cooperative Extension is in charge of the operation of the 4-H program in Humbold County.

Humbold County 4-H Annual Deep Pit Barbecue
Humbold-gun 4-H barbecue will be held again this year! It was previously known as Rams BBQ, but is now known as the annual deep pit BBQ. Lamb, beef, other meat dishes, side menus and desserts are also available!
The annual deep pit barbecue will be held at Fortunna's Loner Park from 11:00 am on September 29 (Sun). Personal tickets cost $ 13 and family tickets are $ 45 for four people. Let's support local 4-H youth while enjoying delicious meals this Sunday!

California 4-H graduate: Segen Madda Lena Kalifornia 4-H graduates Segen Madda Lena won a silver medal for women 50m! She believes that California 4-H shooting sports provided her. We are very proud of Sagen and are happy!
Miranda 4-H member at the 4-H leadership meeting of California! This weekend, Vida W. and Leia C. of the Miranda 4-H club participated in the California 4-H State Leadership Conference on Davis on behalf of Humbold County 4-H. California 4-h youth gathered from the whole state to participate in workshops and tours, further enhanced leadership skills!

Let's make it with wool! Let's be a winner with wool! Apply for a California 2024 wool contest.The California Mak e-up Wool Contest will be held on Saturday, October 5 at the Ram Town Festival Dixon. The screening will be conducted in the morning, and awards and fashion shows will be held in the afternoon. Ram Town Festival website

The Wild West North Coast 4-H camp has become a memorable one!Camp participants spent a variety of things, such as making new friends, participating in various centers, cooling in the river, and playing Olympic games!
In the evening, each cabin showed a skit that each cabin practiced on that day, sang, played games, and enjoyed smorter on bonfires!
Thanks to adult volunteers and teen staff! I wanted to return to the camp this time.

Along with the Fairgrounds Pre-Fair Clean-Up Humboldt County Fair Fair Jr LiveStock Board, we will set up and clean the annual PRE-FAIR event! The livestock area will be set up and landscaping will help you with other duties before the fair.
All youth participants are eligible to participate in the lottery that wins the club's prizes! Expansion work has come to be called campusWe use the extension foundation system to provide o n-demand and interactive courses. This system is now called Campus Intension Foundation. The course can be taken on a computer or a mobile app. If you use a mobile app, you can take classes offline!
Members, volunteers and staff in California 4-H provide free E-learning courses in addition to the core (required) volunteer courses. Access the CA 4-H Learning Center, search for course libraries, and download the app.
It is a recommended course for those who start the first year as a volunteer or return to a blank for more than one year. You will learn important parts of 4-H service, such as the orientation guidelines, CANRA guidelines, and 4-H models for youth development. You will also learn about two coaches and how to support the creation of a safe and welcomed environment for all youth. The time required for this course is about 1 hour and 35 minutes, and you can take multiple courses.
It is a course for those who do not have a year of year and start over the second year or more. This course provides important information on policies and best practices. Learn about the Canra guidelines and the thriving 4-H model for actively nurturing young people. You will also learn how to create a safe and comfortable environment for all youth. It takes about 55 minutes for this course, and you can take multiple courses.

Ignite by 4-H-H-H-Hight by 4-H is an annual summit held in Washington D. C. from March 12 to 16, 2025. High school teenagers can continue their career and acquire career preparation skills to lead their lives.
We are available in some programs in some programs in the planning and expanding planning team. If you are interested in 4-H educators, please apply from the 2025 Ignite with the Team Design Team application form.
Details such as registration fee, sales date, scholarship, etc. will be announced in the near future. For the time being, I'm looking forward to seeing you again next March!
The love for pollen mediator in the national pollen mediator may have ended, but our love for pollen mediator is continuing! If you were a 4-H member of California when you graduated from high school, you could apply for a 4-H higher education scholarship for being educated at the certified vocational schools, colleges, and universities. 。

All blankets should be removed before the veterinarian check. If you are covering, pull it firmly when entering the ground and remove the blanket. This includes a spandex tube. This was a big closure last year. Be sure to remove the blanket. You can return after weigh.
Pack the trailer accordingly. You can't put it in the cage without receiving a veterinarian check. If you put an animal in the cage, the animal will be returned home, and decontamination in the place will be your responsibility.
*Veterinary examinations for small animals (Cavy & amp; Camp; rabbit) are performed along with large animals. Rabbits measure their weight on the day of the show because of the meat pen.
*All poultry receives a veterinarian check at the parking lot next to the fair venue. The poultry that has been finished can enter the venue from the main entrance opposite the fire station.
*NEW* All large animals have a different entry point into the pit.
*Pig exhibitors, please make sure you bring your original Prop 12 certificate. I know you uploaded it but please make sure you bring it. If you don't have it we will invite you to pick it up. Without this certificate you will not be able to put your pigs in the market.
*NEW* We will tag you before we weigh you in.
When you arrive at the scale, please make sure you have all the following in order at the import table: medical license, terminal sale paperwork, auction lunch tickets, extra passes etc. We will sell parking passes and extra bands.
Breeding registered livestock must be paper checked by an animal inspector by 7pm on Tuesday night.
Bulls/Cows must have a yellow tag.
****If your livestock is not healthy or may be sick or infected you may not be able to unload and all fees may be forfeited. ***
